Introduce Yourself!

I thought it would be a good idea if we were to all write a little bit about ourselves so that any new people who sign up and get on the forum can work out exactly who is who, and have an opportunity to introduce themselves as well.

I'll start:


My name is Tom Bohan (the one with "Fury" on his hoodie) and I've been doing wing chun for about a year now, as well as recently starting Tae Kwon Do, in which I'm a yellow belt.
Within the society, I'm generally responsible for the media related stuff, the fresher's video, the free DVD (coming soon!) and the like.
I was one of the 7 guys who went to the first Majorca trip, and I'm hoping to go to China this year.

Ok so here's a little about me:

My name is Dan, im the president of the society, I have really bad spelling and am therefore responsible for all the spelling maistakes on the forum and website hehe ;D

Im now in my 3rd year studying Philosophy and i started Wing Chun in my first year, I used to do some boxing with my friends before i came to uni, and scince i have been at uni i have lernt a few bits from other martial arts including, TKD, Ju-jitsu, Kickboxing,Capoeira,Krav Maga,Akido and posibly the odd thing from some other martial arts to. Of all the things i have done i have to say i find Wing Chun the most practical, however i like Capoeria too because its fun to do and is really quite hard on the arms and fitness and streaching etc.

erm what more can i say, i do alot of rockclimbing which i would recomend to anyone who does wing chun coz it builds the perfect type of strength for punching etc.

So thats me, i like to lern from all types of people and hope you all shar5e your martiail knowledge with me and i hope you all ask mestuff if your ever unsure on Wing Chun and ill do my best. ;D

My names Ad aka superfoot due to my taekwondo background and hungover toms imagination (or liking for plagiarism).
Im now a third year studying business, planning to probably do a masters next year, just so i can carry on with my training
Iv been doing wing chun for about a year and half, but am really into it so train alot. Wing chun just rocks, I just love the vastness of it aswell as the science and thinking that has gone into developing the system.
My other hobbies are football and watching bleach!

I'm Grace, I've just graduated from Lancs uni this summer, currently a Masters student doing Artificial Intelligence at Edinburgh. I pop to Lancs every now and then for Wing Chun training, because it's just so damn good!

I did Wing Chun for 3 years at Lancaster, and have to say this is by far the best Wing Chun club i've been to! No others compare in terms of the quality of the lessons and as well as the price!! (I currently need to pay £7 at another of sifu's clubs ><).

If you're looking to do some serious self defence work, this is the right society for you ^^

Hey im annie

You probably all know me as sifus daughter!! i dont go to lancaster uni but i did go to mallorca and it was ace and thats where i got to know a few of the lads and so been going to the uni to see them every since!
I am currently at college doing hairdressing in Blackpool!! i straightend toms hair on holiday it looked ace!!
I am going to start wing chun soon i promise because everyone keeps telling me to especially my dad!!
So i hopefully will train with everyone soon look forward to it!!

Hi, I'm Jamie, or J, either is fine I am brand new to wing chun but have studied Shotokan when I was alot younger and Muay Thai on a totally disorganised and informal level. I am a third year music tech student and as of week one have been attending the kick boxing and taekwondo classes as well as wing chun obviously. I'm a first year Earth and Environmental Science student and as of week one this term I have been going to Wing Chun and Taekwondo classes and I am lovin it. Hello all, thought i might as well introduce myself too.
My names Ben, I'm a second year doing biomedical sciences. i have never studied wing chun before. i always always eager to start last year but never got round to it. i have always been interested in martial arts and have found that wing chun really appeals to me.
i have only been to 2 sessions so far as i was busy during freshers week then got injured. I am really enjoying it, i am picking it up very quickly.
I am really eager to progress in wing chun and so i am also interested in extra training if anyone is up for it, jus giv me a bell on 07947518983.
