Hey all im gonna post some stuff that might interest people from my book. First post about the wing chun gaurd, picture missing sadly Distancing is vital. The Wu sau (guard hand) must not be too close to the body because this will not allow room to move quickly, for example if one wanted to perform a quick bong sau (wing arm) block, if the wu was too close to the body it would have to travel out before returning with the block causing massive inefficiency and wasting important time.. also if it is too close it can be pinned to the body. If the gap between the Mann Sau (searching hand) and Wu sau is too small both arms can be taken out in an attack as if they were one arm. If either of the hands are pushed out too far they lose structure and expose the lower rib area that was previously covered by the elbows. tell me if it is usefull/interesting/boring/a pile of sh#te/or whatever u think Cheers Dan
