What do we reckon guys?: www.bathjkd.co.uk/Clips.aspx(note: Might have to view this in internet explorer...I usually use firefox but it didn't work for me for some reason, worked in IE fine...boo!) It's a place right next door to where my sister lives, I like the idea that they wear headgear all the time, well it looks like they do from the videos...so it might be good for just keeping up my own practice...I like the groin shots he puts in, some dodgy complicant stuff though too...make sure you watch all the clips some are defiantly lame, but some show promise! I just have a problem behind the philosophy of jkd and why people learn 'it'.

The whole i do "jkd" because im learning bruce lees style, rather than developing their own interpretation of how to fight.

ah, I see.
Yeah, it's a fair point. I've never understood why people think because somethign works for their idol it will work for them too. Same goes in guitar playing. So many people copy stuff and sound like shit doing so. that's why there are so many Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai ripoffs out there and only one Tom Morello...

It's probably ok to learn to do the same as him if say one was a super fitness freak/extreme athlete like he was, but most people don't even come close. But yeah, people should stick to the principles, but at the same time one shouldn't be thinking about multiple styles when one eventually fights with their own synthetic style. It should be as one style, ie: not having to think "oh now im in wingchun...now i'm using this from this style" etc...but you all know that anyway
