Wing Chun ... ..it's a fighting Art. We know from time to time, people discuss it.
The infamous 'What-If' scenario:
Sifu Kwok versus ________. Leung Ting versus Boztepe. Etc, etc.. Who would win?
It's no doubt problematic and a waste of time for students to ponder this. BUT, HAS anyone here on this forum actually overheard the teachers themselves discussing the aforementioned question?
food for thought; afterall, why wouldn't they themselves ask it from time to time. These masters are at the TOP of their Art, reached the pinnacle of their skills so it would seem that every so often , once-in-a-blue-moon, they might discuss this amongst themselves for the sake of it.
Anyone here privy to this sort of secret-talk?
peace, Eric

That's an awesome article James...
As for the "X versus Y" thing, as far as I'm aware Sifu doesn't like to enter into the politics of Wing Chun, so it's very doubtful he'd ever discuss the matter, especially not with his students. I'm sure he has his opinions on who has good and bad kung fu but I don't think he makes a big deal of it.
If I was in his position I don't think I'd be too vocal about it either, or you end up with a Emin Boztepe/William Cheung scenario again, which was pretty embarrassing for both parties, and caused no end of friction between the two camps...

James, Tom, Thanks for the article-link. Great points too, that he (Sifu Kwok) is head and shoulders above the Boztepes and Cheungs by not vocalizing that sort of banter. I was ONLY curious if he has ever discussed this amongst his closest teachers and students during class. ***not amongst the public tabloid and martial-arts magazines - scenario, if you get my drift. Real men don't have to prove themselves.
thanks, E.B.
