Well in mate, but that sounds like a bit of a harsh way to begin lol, remember that it's quality over quantity as well, 20 mins of proper exercise is better than an hour of pissing about and making half efforts. Not that i think u ain't pulling ur weight, i just mean that you don't have to kill yourself to stay in shape lol. Mind you a bike would be bloody handy when trying to escape some drunken neds

To be hoenst, I was all in favour of the "slow and steady wins the race" option but my mate AJ, who I'm training with, is joining the marines and wasn't really interested in mild exercise. So I just said "fuck it". Like I said, it wasn't half as strenuous as I thought it was going to be, and with the possible exception of a seriously bruised arse (from that frigging bike seat), and bruised hands, (from the frigging handlebars), I feel pretty damn good.
I'm definitely not going to stick to that level of training though. I simply won't have the time to more than anything, and I don't want to overdo it. But as we discussed, getting into a routine is the hardest part, so I figure if I push myself hard to start with, it'll be a bit easier to maintain when I back it off a bit.

My training regime is pretty poor atm. I've got Karate on Mondays-quite a workout, but hasn't had much effect on my fitness the past 6 months-running at lunch on wednesdays and fridays, an hour of circuits on thursdays-probably more like 40 mins by the time everyone shows up/gets changed-and the rudimentary set of 20 of each of about 5 different types of pressups alternated with situps of some sort or the equivalent twice a day every day 'cept monday, 'cos I'm knackered enough from karate as it is.
The pushups tend to get very one sided after the first 20 or so favouring my right arm due to a dodgy shoulder currently undergoing the wonders of slow progressing physio thanks to hypermobility and lazy muscles holding my shoulder blade in place. (or rather not.)
Does anyone mind emailing me that ebook if its not too much bother?

Hi all,
I think the best you can do is combine the best of both worlds so isolate some sections of the forms for example the forth part of the siu nim tao and practise that part 100 times
So you wil get your fitness exercise and training of your movement and strenght
