Who would win in a no-holds-barred full contact fight? : A UFC grappler, allowed to use lethal moves, versus a Wing Chun practitioner, also allowed to use lethal moves.
UFC is that grappling/mixed martial artist tournament stateside.
any takers?
thx, Eric B.

with nothing bared it would be a quick fight. and it would probubly ultimatly depend on the skill of the fighters but a wing chun practitionar would try to use throat strikes and eye gouges which would obviously end the fight and i dont know what a grppalers most effective move would be so i cant say but ultimatly it would be whoever got the killer blow in first would win, my obvious bias leans me into wing chun but i dont know enough about grappeling to say what their dangerous (no legal) moves are like.
?? any one else have any ideas??

I think if you were the grappler (and assuming you had a basic idea of what Wing Chun is about) then you would probably try and get the Wing Chun practitioner to the floor so that they can't use either their hands (well, no where near as effectively, especially if they are on their front) or their footwork, if they manage to do this then the grappler would probably win. However, the Wing Chun practitioner will be trying to stop this from happening and his most damaging techniques don't require the same control of the opponent's body to execute so I would lean towards a victory for the Wing Chun practitioner.

depends on how many times the wing chun guy punches the dude in the eye before/if he gets him to ground.
I guess overall a wing chun practioner would be at an advantage as he would have trained no holds barred all the time, whereas ufc guy wouldnt, and its hard to change in your ways. From doin my taekwondo i still find it hard to kick so low, to knees and groin and stuff, cos iv always had it drilled into me thats naughty.
So i guess if youv practiced with rules itll be harder to adapt, and youll have to think to aim for the vunerable disallowed areas, whereas a practioner who hasnt had these restrictions will instinctively aim there.
Who would win a no-holds-barred full contact fight between sifu and batman!?!?

now that depends. if were talking the old adam west batman, sifu would own his ass. but the christian bale batman with all his league of shadows training, that would just be freakin awesome to watch. think sifu would still win though, hed be lightning fast compared to batman. sifu ftw!

What if scenarios are always interesting, sort of like tweaking reality because they rarely or never occur.
There was a Gary Lam website which showed some good video-clips of him doing a lot of Wing Chun techniques on some guys. I wonder what Sifu Kwok thinks of Gary Lam?
